It explains how GetNutria uses cookies and similar browser storage on the public website and the web application.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files or identifiers stored by a website in a browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage, which store information in the browser in the same way but are not sent with every request.
2. What GetNutria uses
GetNutria uses only two kinds of browser storage: storage that is strictly necessary to provide the service, and storage that remembers a display preference you have chosen yourself.
Essential and authentication storage
Used in the GetNutria web application for:
- signing in and maintaining your session;
- account security and protection against cross-site request forgery; and
- keeping you signed in between pages.
These are first-party and strictly necessary. They cannot be switched off through the GetNutria interface, because sign-in and account security do not work without them. The exact names of the authentication cookies are set by the application's authentication framework and vary by environment, so they are described here by purpose rather than by name.
Language preference
The public website stores your chosen interface language in browser local storage under the key language. It holds only the value en or el, it is first-party, and it stays in your browser until you change it or clear your browser storage.
Appearance preference
The public website stores your chosen light or dark appearance in browser local storage under the key theme. It holds only the value light or dark, it is first-party, and it stays in your browser until you change it or clear your browser storage.
3. What GetNutria does not use
- GetNutria does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- GetNutria does not use a marketing or advertising analytics SDK.
- Vercel Web Analytics is not enabled.
- Vercel Speed Insights is not enabled.
Because GetNutria currently sets no non-essential cookies, no consent banner is presented. If this changes, this notice and a consent interface will be updated before any non-essential cookie or similar technology is placed.
4. Managing your choices
You can change your language and appearance preferences at any time using the controls on the site; the stored value is overwritten when you do.
Your browser can also delete or block cookies and clear local storage. Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent sign-in and other functions from working.
5. Client mobile application
Native mobile applications may use secure device storage rather than browser cookies. The relevant mobile technologies and permissions are explained in the GetNutria Privacy Notice (GDPR) and in the app-store disclosures.
6. Changes
We will update this notice when our use of cookies or similar technologies changes.
